|Since the US Green Build Council established the rating system in 1998, Southern Glass has educated its project managers and key field personnel so as to understand and provide assistance to our customers in achieving the best possible rating for their building. We believe the glass and glazing industry can do more toward the design team reaching their goals than just providing them credits for recycled content and regional materials. Southern Glass can provide them with vital performance data, such as visible light transmittance, solar heat gain, shading coefficient, R or U values, STC (Sound Transmission Class) ratings and VOC content for on-site sealants, which will assist them with their modeling calculations and additional credits for Indoor Environmental Quality, Energy Atmospheric and Innovation in Design categories.|
